[ferro-alloys.com]China’s chrome ore imports nearly doubled month-on-month in July on robust domestic demand and weak production in South Africa following low ferro-chrome prices.
 
Inbound shipments of chrome ores and concentrates were 1,398,484 tonnes, up 54.8% compared with the same period last year, according to the Chinese customs data released on Wednesday August 21.A dealer said  “Some new smelters are expected to come on stream in the second half of the year so importers actively restocked when prices were suitable,”
