Print[www.ferro-alloys.com] Last week low-grade nickel ore 0.9-1.1% was quoted at about 140yuan/t; mid-grade nickel ore 1.5% was quoted at about 200 yuan/t; high-grade nickel ore 1.8% was quoted at 330 yuan/t in domestic market. In international market, low-grade nickel ore 0.9-1.1% was quoted at 17 d/t; mid-grade nickel ore 1.5% was quoted at 29 d/t; high-grade nickel ore 1.8% was quoted at 46 d/t.
On 13rd, Sumitomo announced that the nickel operation in Madagascar, which located in Southeastern Africa, lost 77 billion yen in last year because of a sharp slump in nickel price over the last year.
