As of silicon manganese, it is reported that China totally produced 1.0054 million tons of silicon manganese in June, up by 1.14% y-o-y. In the first half year, output of silicon manganese reached 5.02 million tons, dropping by 2.34% y-o-y.  A sharp shrinking demand on silicon manganese gave directly rise to slowing consuming of producers, forcing parts of them to have to further edge down prices. In south, operation rates of manganese even contract to less than 10% for some areas. Price of silicon manganese 6517 tumbled at RMB5,050-5,200/mt in north while RMB5,250-5,350/mt in south, and RMB4,500-4,600/mt for 6014.

As of ferromanganese, High carbon ferromanganese 65 contracted to RMB4,300-4,500/mt, while RMB5,300-5,500/mt for high carbon ferromanganese 75. Medium carbon ferromanganese 75C2.0 stood at RMB7,300-7,400/mt and while RMB8,500-8,600/mt for low carbon ferromanganese 80C0.7. Given maintenance season of steelmakers and finished goods inventory fluctuations, it is estimated that manganese alloys market would be likely to experience more ups and downs.
